A MOTHER-DAUGHTER STORY
Priscilla’s daughter, Rowan, founded Hope in Bay, a youth-led initiative inspired by her mother’s experience with breast cancer.
Hope in Bay provides thoughtfully prepared care bags and handwritten messages of encouragement to women undergoing cancer treatment — small gestures designed to bring comfort during an extraordinarily difficult time.
For Priscilla, watching her daughter transform a family’s experience with cancer into service for other women has added another chapter to her own story of survivorship.
Together, their experiences offer a distinctive mother-daughter perspective on cancer, caregiving, resilience and the ways one family’s difficult experience can become a source of hope for someone else.
